Isaak Tattoo

Leroy Isaak is the backbone of Burning Heart Tattoo. He’s been part of the shop for 16 years, started as an apprentice and grew into the owner who firmly rooted Burning Heart in Haarlem.

 

Largely self-taught, Leroy built his foundation with strong support from his close friend 'Oude' Go, and learned his technical skills from highly respected artist Travis Ra, Katwijk who has been tattooing for over 25 years. When Leroy officially began his apprenticeship at Burning Heart, he was trained by the studio’s former owner (2010–2018)

He works across multiple styles and is known for Japanese and old school tattoos with bold, powerful colour, as well as fine details and a high level of precision. Leroy is also doing confident freehand Polynesian and Maori work.

A true jack of all trades: tattooing full-time, running and maintaining the shop, and investing his energy in training the next generation of artists.
